Veteran’s Alliance Group launches at the University of Rochester

The University of Rochester and the Simon Business School have launched a new program to help on-campus veterans.  The new program was announced during a luncheon on Tuesday, November 12th. Veterans and active members of the military at the U of R will have expanded resources and support services. The services will augment the financial resources veterans get through the Rochester Pledge Scholarship and the “Yellow Ribbon Program”, which provides full tuition scholarships to qualified post-9/11 veterans who want to attend the U of R. Veterans

“Programs like this give you an opportunity to merge the leadership skills you’ve developed during several years of service in the military with some of the competencies that are necessary to survive long-term,” said Major Robert Massey, Simon MBA ‘14.

This new program is made possible by the Veterans Alliance, a new affinity group on campus.
