Simon and Forté Foundation present…

by Alyssa Epstein

The 3rd Annual Forté Foundation Career Lab hosted by the Simon Graduate School of Business and co-sponsored by Gamma Phi Beta is this Friday, April 22nd 4:30-8:30pm in Schlegel Hall. We invite all undergraduate women with an interest in pursuing an MBA or a career in business. The event is free to attend, and there will be complimentary pizza, salad, beverages and dessert.

The Forté Career Lab Events provide college-aged women with information about business options available to them once they graduate, including seeking a career in business and a graduate business education. Diverse and successful women leaders discuss their paths, and provide insight on how the MBA has played a key role in their lives. Women seeking undergraduate degrees in all areas of study are invited to participate. We hope to see you there!

Women Flourish at Simon School

By Lilly

This past weekend on December 4th and 5th, Simon was humming with activity and excitement.  Our annual Women’s Conference event, which is in association with the Forte Foundation, took place.  This dynamic group of women came from a wide range of places with diverse backgrounds; women arrived from places ranging from Peru to India and New York City with experiences ranging from the US Navy, Merrill Lynch and privately owned gourmet food distributors among many others.

The women were treated to a variety of alumni panels, interviewing sessions, networking breaks and a gourmet dinner at local eatery Bamba Bistro where keynote speaker Heather Harris (Class of 1992) spoke about her experience at numerous major corporations and her current entrepreneurial venture, redFISH Art Studios and Gallery.

Members of SAWMBA (Simon Association of Women MBAs) were present to converse with applicants with numerous Simon Forte Scholars as well.  This event is turning into one of the highlights for the female applicants to Simon and is a point of pride for women MBAs in general.  We hope to see you at one of our next events.
