Student Spotlight: Jae Kim, 2015 MBA Candidate

If there is one word that I would use to describe my four months so far here at Simon Business School, it’s transformative. An MBA education is so much more than learning concepts and theories in class, and Simon embodies that every day through its diverse student body, practical curriculum, real-world examples and applications, and most importantly, the close-knit community.

JaeMy daily interactions with fellow students, alumni, administration, and faculty have affirmed my belief that everyone genuinely wants to get to you know better and help out whenever possible. Simon has managed to shatter many of my preconceived notions (all in a good way), and exceeded my expectations in what has proven to be a very challenging but rewarding environment. Simon also ensures that we have the resources and opportunities to explore different areas of interest and creates the forums and connections that enable students to move forward and achieve our full potential.

Even though the past four months have gone by in a blur, my experience nonetheless so far has been amazing. And although it feels like orientation was just yesterday, finals are already around the corner, and winter quarter classes are waiting for us upon our return from winter break. Most of us, including myself, will have the opportunity to take electives for the first time in areas to which many of us have had no prior exposure. I am looking forward to acquiring new skills and knowledge from these courses and continuing to explore all that Simon and Rochester have to offer.

Happy Holidays and Meliora!
