Paul Ellickson – Associate Professor of Economics and Marketing

Q: What courses do you teach?
A: I teach GBA 412 (Framing and Analyzing Business Problems) and STR 421 (Economics of Competitive Strategy)

Q: How long have you taught at Simon?
A: I taught here from 2000 to 2003, then at Duke from 2003 to 2006, and I have been back at Simon since 2009

Q: What do you like most about your job?
A. The opportunity to be constantly challenged to learn new things

Q: Share a fun fact about you.
A: I am an avid cook who specializes in Chinese, Indian and Mexican cuisine (extra spicy!). I started cooking when I was 12 years old and have never stopped enjoying it.

Q: If you could recommend a “unique Rochester experience” to prospective students what would it be?
A. Here’s two: Fourth of July on the Lake. The Tres Hombres plate at Dinosaur BBQ.
