Faculty Spotlight: Guy Arie, PhD

GuyMeet Guy Arie, Assistant Professor of Economics & Management, and learn where to grab a delicious “pilot brew” in Rochester:

Q. What courses do you teach?
A. I teach STR401,421 and 442 – economics, strategy and advanced strategy

Q. How long have you taught at Simon?
A. I’ve taught at Simon since Fall 2012

Q. What do you like most about your job?
A.  The best days are when students come up with insights they didn’t expect. These ‘Eureka’ moments are extremely gratifying for everyone involved, myself included.

Q. If you could recommend a “unique Rochester experience” to prospective students what would it be?
A. Rochester has much more fun and unique experiences than you’d expect. My favorites would be drinking whatever ‘pilot brew’ is in Genesee Brewery on a sunny afternoon overlooking High Falls and hiking and swimming in Stonybrook State Park.
