Class of 2021 Spotlight: Happi Christian

In the final installment of the Class of 2021 Spotlight Series, meet recent MBA graduate Happi Christian:

Where have you headed after graduation?
I am heading to Adobe as a senior data product manager in their Engagement and Retention Analytics practice.

What was your favorite class and why?
My favorite class was Business Modeling with Professor Ravi Mantena. Ravi’s unique approach to teaching was highly impactful. The class has helped me develop a deep and intuitive ability to structurally approach business problems and ideate and develop solutions. Nevertheless, I enjoyed all my classes at Simon. They have all played a part in preparing me for my short- and long-term future endeavors.

If you could use three words to describe your MBA experience, what would they be?
Inspired, grateful, and joyful.

What have you learned that will help you most in your new role?
So much. Despite joining Simon with a highly technical background (my degree is in telecommunications engineering), I was lagging in strategy and business skills and experience. Simon has significantly helped me develop these skills, which have complemented my technical skills and positioned me for greater success as a data product manager.

What is your favorite Simon memory?
Orientation week. I enjoyed meeting my classmates from all different backgrounds and cultures across the world. I had never interacted with such a diversified set of people before.

What advice do you have for prospective Simon students?
For prospective students, Simon’s MBA program uniquely positions you to integrate into the US workforce easily and successfully post-MBA. Unlike other MBA programs in the US, Simon’s program is developed with you in mind and tailored to meet your needs. It exposes you to classmates of different cultures across the world, which will significantly broaden your understanding of other cultures. Simon’s small class size helps for a highly personalized learning environment and its STEM designation makes you very well positioned to earn high wages in the job market.
