Women’s Conference and Experience Simon Weekend, Dec. 2-3

The following post was written by Rebekah Lewin, assistant director of admissions and financial aid

It’s hard to believe November is here, and fall quarter wraps up in just a few short weeks! In the Admissions Office, we are also excited about our next recruitment event Women’s Conference and Experience Simon Weekend on December 2-3.

As in past years, we are running these events concurrently and most of the programming is shared, which creates a cohesive environment where our prospective students can get acquainted with Simon and with each other.

Women’s Conference begins midday on Friday, Dec. 2, and the afternoon features a Women’s Leadership Panel with impressive alumnae panelists:

  • Dorothy Coleman ’16 MBA, Executive VP and CFO of Excellus BCBS
  • Melanie Huet ’03 MBA, Global Brand Director, Baby & Child Care at Kimberly-Clark
  • Diana Nole ’01 MBA, CEO of Wolters Kluwer Health
  • Sheffali Welch ’02 MBA, COO and Head of Regional Strategy for Global Transactional Banking in the Americas at Deutsche Bank

Dinner on Friday is where the Experience Simon Weekend registrants join up with Women’s Conference attendees, and attend th26021959242_0a59344240_ze remainder of the weekend’s programming together. We are very excited about Friday’s dinner, which features a keynote presentation by Nithya Ruff ’91 MBA, director of Western Digital’s Open Source Office. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to network with faculty, alumni, and current students at dinner.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, our prospective students will fill their day at Simon with the following activities:

  • Alumni and student panels
  • Campus tours
  • An overview from Simon’s Career Management Center
  • A sample MBA class
  • Admissions interview (you have this option as long as you have created an application to Simon)

We are very much looking forward to these events, and we know December will be here before we know it! As a prospective student, you may be considered for complimentary hotel accommodations and a partial travel stipend if you register for Experience Simon Weekend or Women’s Conference by Friday, November 11. Inquiries about travel stipends and all event-related questions may be directed to Kailey Ludemann, events manager.

If you are a Simon student or alum who would like to register for Friday’s Women’s Leadership Panel, networking reception, or dinner keynote presentation, please do so here.

As always, if you have any questions about event programming or the application process, don’t hesitate to email the Admissions Office. We are always happy to help.

In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you in December!
