Blog -- Steps to A Simon AdmissionIf you are applying for 2018 entry to business school you are probably also thinking about how best to maximize your chances for both admission and scholarship consideration. Here are a few quick tips on how you can best position yourself for MBA or MS scholarships at Simon Business School.

  1. Apply before our application deadline on January 5. Applying early is important, as most of our largest awards are offered to candidates who apply early.
  2. Save the date for Simon’s 2018 Scholarship Weekend. Make sure to pencil in February 23-25 on your calendar — if admitted, you may be invited to our exclusive Scholarship Weekend event and you will want to attend. Students are guaranteed an initial level of funding based upon their application but will compete that weekend for additional scholarships via a case competition and other activities.
  3. Focus on both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of your candidacy when you submit the application. GMAT or GRE scores are important, but they are not the only factors the Admissions Committee will consider while making scholarship decisions. Your essays, recommendations, prior work experience, community involvement, leadership potential, and interview are equally important to determining fit for various scholarship opportunities. Make sure you are putting your best foot forward when you present yourself to the AdCom.

Applying for scholarship support is easy – just indicate “yes” in the online application for admission when asked if you wish to be considered for scholarship support. Get started — apply now.

I hope to see your application for the upcoming deadline next Friday!
