2011 Financial Times Rankings

By: Crissi

The Simon School is again ranked among the world’s top business schools by the Financial Times of London. In the January 31, 2011 issue, the Financial Times ranked Simon 5th in the world for economics and 6th in the world for finance. Overall, Simon is ranked 26th among U.S. business schools and 52nd among the world’s top 100 business schools. Other key areas of improvement in our rankings over previous years include: value for the money, career progress, aims achieved, percentage of female students, percentage of female board members, percentage of international faculty, and percentage of international students.

Simon is proud to be known for our strengths in economics and finance; this is a strong endorsement of the effectiveness of our economics-based and analytical approach to the curriculum. Again we rank highly for value or return on investment metrics, a key point for students to consider when choosing to invest time and resources into a MBA program.

At Simon we pleased to once again be ranked among the top business schools in the world, and we remain committed to a process of continuous improvement in keeping with the University or Rochester’s motto Meliora or “ever better”. And an added bonus: all Simon students receive a free subscription to the Financial Times available in the Simon classrooms.
