Simon: Top 25 rating by US News & World Report

By Rebekah:

We are pleased to share the news that the Simon School is tied for 25th
position in the annual survey of U.S. Business Schools in the April 2008 edition of U.S. News & World Report.  The increase in rank by 11 positions, from 36th position last year to 25th this year, reflects improvements by Simon in virtually every category comprising the overall survey including: recruiter assessment; average starting salary and bonus; undergraduate G.P.A.; students employed three months after graduation; and students employed at graduation (up two places). The Simon School also ranked 13th in finance and 24th in accounting.  For more details, please visit

The survey methodology is based on a quality assessment (in separate
surveys of business school deans and directors and corporate recruiters
and company contacts; placement success – measured by mean starting salary and bonus, as well as employment rates for full-time M.B.A. graduates at graduation and three months out; and student selectivity, measured by mean GMAT, mean undergraduate G.P.A., and the proportion of applicants accepted).

While rankings tend to fluctuate based on the data, we recognize their
significance and our strategy remains to play at the highest levels in
graduate business education.  We continue our commitment to living the University motto, Meliora, Ever Better and we will aim even higher to further enhance our pursuit of excellence in all aspects of the Simon School.
