Simon Student Clubs…Another Way to Learn, Network, Give, and Join the Simon Community

By: Uma Pansari

Clubs are a great way to enhance your leadership and social skills. The Simon School gives you great opportunities with a variety of different clubs. Simon Women in Business Club (SWIB) is a club for the Simon women to get together socially, whether for happy hour, networking , playing golf or listening to a panel of fellow women peers  about their internships/jobs/interview experiences. We learn from each other and become a stronger group. We also invite women who have been successful in their respective careers and life and have them share their stories to inspire the Simon Women. It’s a great way to connect with the other women and learn from each other. We all come from diverse backgrounds and there is so much to learn. Women are amazing, as they can put a smile on and act like everything is fine even if really the world is on their shoulders and life is slipping through the cracks of their fingers.

Simon Volunteers is a club where we believe that volunteering and giving makes us better human beings . Taking time out from the busy schedule to volunteer at a Ronald McDonald house, participate in the local events like the East Ave Grocery run ,Polar plunge, JA in a Day… just to name a few. We also organize fundraising events to raise money for the Secret Santa Fund  to buy gifts for the kids while partnering with the local schools and charities. Not only do the students participate, but the faculty and school staff join in too. This just makes for a great experience to work with your fellow students and teachers outside of the academics.

These are only a couple of examples of the many Student Clubs that you can participate in. Take a look for yourself!
