Simon Announces Dean’s Leadership Awards

Last week, the Simon School announced the class of 2008 Dean’s Leadership Awards.  These awards are given annually, based upon peer and staff nominations for individuals who have made significant contributions and demonstrated leadership among their classmates while at Simon.  Recipients were:

Christopher Adams – awarded based upon his leadership as VP of VISION; planning for Team M.B.A.’s Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk, and co-founding Simon Immersion Group – an organization that offers incoming students the resources they need to successfully begin their Simon experience

Sean Bodkin – awarded based upon his leadership on the Graduate Business Council – as VP of corporate and alumni relations; Advisory assistance to the Dean’s Office, Career Management Center, and Office of Alumni Relations & Development; Founding Simon’s "Last Lecture" series which promotes interaction between faculty and students; and service as a Coach Leader and Class Gift committee member

Aarthi Chandrasekaran – awarded based upon her service as a graduate assistant to the Career Management Center; vice president of VISION; VP of communications and events for Simon Entrepreneurs; and engaging 20 classmates in a "Voices of Experience" program

Ashley Churder – awarded based upon her designation as the SAWMBA Leadership Scholarship; serving as President of the Operations Management & Technology Association; and her role co-President of the Simon Ambassador’s program through the Office of Admissions

Jason Hall – awarded for his leadership in organizing the All Finance Conference in 2007; Advisory assistance to the Dean’s Office and Office of Alumni Relations & Development; co-chair of the Meliora Fund Committee and VP of corporate relations for the Simon Investment Club; and part of the winning team for this year’s Meliora Class to improve the Simon School

Terrence Liverpool – awarded for his leadership as President of the Simon National Black M.B.A. Association; VP of Simon Net Impact and VISION; his active volunteerism in the Rochester community as a member of the Pillars of Hope program which works with Rochester City School District students; and his organization of a Team M.B.A. Rochester Clean Sweep project for Earth Week

Ashutosh Shroff – awarded for his leadership as a graduate assistant in the Career Management Center, including mentoring and coaching fellow Simon classmates through their job search process, and his strong problem solving acumen
