Career Management Center shifts Strategy to enhance Corporate Outreach and Employment Outcomes

This past week, Bob Park – the Executive Director of Career Management – unveiled a new organizational structure and approach to support full-time MBA and MS students in their internship and job search.  This structure focuses on assigning staff to specific sectors such as Finance, Marketing, or Consulting and then matching students based upon intended career plans.  Each two-person team in the Career Management Center (CMC), with an assigned functional area, will also focus on targeting hiring managers to identify new job opportunities.  One of the big benefits is that this structure allows the CMC team to leverage their relationships and know-how on students, to ultimately sell their candidacy to companies seeking graduate business talent.  The feedback from both companies and students has been extremely positive, and we are excited about the expected employment outcomes that this will generate for our students.
