Application for 2019 Entry is Live!

We are very excited to announce that our application for 2019 is now open! Our first deadline is October 15, and we encourage applicants to apply early for maximum scholarship consideration. I have included a few resources and tips below to support you during the application process.

Application Timing
We accept and review applications on a rolling basis. Application rounds for 2019 entry are as follows:

Round 1  |  July 15–October 15
Round 2  |  October 16–January 5
Round 3  |  January 6–February 15
Round 4  |  February 16–March 31
Round 5  |  April 1–May 1

Applicants who apply by January 5 will be considered for participation in Scholarship Weekend—an invitation-only event where our largest merit awards, including full-tuition fellowships and named scholarships, are awarded.

Application Requirements and Updates
Below are two online resources that you may find useful in completing your application:

Application FAQ

We recognize that applying to business school is a time-consuming and expensive process, so we’ve identified areas where we can better support our applicants and make applying easier. Two notable updates that we have made to the application this year are:

Application Fee
We have decreased our application fee from $150 to $90.

Letters of Recommendation
We no longer require or accept letters of recommendation. As part of the online application, you will be asked to supply contact information for two references. If the Admissions Committee decides to contact either of your references during the application review process, you will be notified. We strongly suggest listing references who are familiar with you in a professional capacity.

Essay Prompts
Keep in mind that fully answering each question, staying within the word limit, and using correct grammar and spelling are all important elements of writing a successful essay. Start developing your essays early and then read, re-read, and edit them accordingly.

Essay 1: Describe your short-term and long-term goals for post-MBA or post-MS. Given the fluctuation of economic and industry hiring trends, identify a back-up plan should your short-term goal not be immediately attainable. How does your past education and experience support your career objectives? Lastly, what aspects of your intended Simon Business School program make it a good choice for your graduate study? (250-500 word limit)

Essay 2: In 25 words or less, provide us with an interesting fact about yourself not expressed elsewhere in your application. (25 word limit)
