Alumni Spotlight: Lydia Perez Poole, MBA ’06

Manager, Consumer & Market Knowledge Procter & Gamble

Manager, Consumer & Market Knowledge
Procter & Gamble

In my current role in the CMK Sourcing group, I am responsible for consumer research quality in North and Latin America.

I chose Simon for 3 reasons: its reputation, small size, and trust. My brother went there and he’s had a successful career working for various Fortune 500 companies. Also, the admissions officers I dealt with made me feel like they believed in me and my potential to be successful, it seemed like I would fit right in.

The Simon degree helped me achieve my personal goals of getting a masters degree and joining a consumer goods company — Procter & Gamble. I feel like Simon gave me a good education, and I have the skills necessary to be successful at any career opportunity I pursue.

My words of advice for prospective students considering Simon Business School:   Don’t choose a business school based on name or reputation alone.  Focus on what you want to get out of your MBA, and in what school environment you are most likely to thrive.
