Alumni Spotlight: Greg Rozo, MBA ‘09

I manage a staff of three people with full budget responsibility for all corporate overhead cost.  We work directly with executive leadership team members to create line item budgets for their worldwide operations, and provide analysis that gives key decision makers better insight into their monthly spend.

I became interested in Simon because of its strong reputation in finance and its geographic location (I grew up in Western New York).  Ultimately I ended up choosing Simon because of the people that I met during my two campus visits.  Dean Zupan, administrators, admissions staff, professors, and current students added a level of personalization that I did not encounter at the other schools I visited.  Simon was more like a community than just an MBA program.

My Simon MBA enhanced my ability to think analytically and fast-tracked my career progression.  In two years at Simon, I gained knowledge and experience that would have taken five to ten years to achieve in the workplace.

My words of advice for prospective students considering Simon Business School:
Take the time to visit campus and interact with as many current students as possible.  Their backgrounds, experiences, and insight will be invaluable to your decision.  And don’t be afraid of the weather.  It’s not that bad!
